Man, 22, is accused of driving at policeman

A MAN man has appeared in court charged with running over a policeman.
Gary Boote, aged 22, of Wemsley Grove, Tonge Moor, is alleged to have driven at the officer in Bradshawgate in Bolton town centre on Sunday, September 9.
It is claimed Boote attempted to unlawfully and maliciously wound the officer with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
Boote is also alleged to have driven a Toyota Corolla with false number plates dangerously in Bradshawgate.
Boote did not enter any pleas when he appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court.
His alleged victim was taken to hospital with knee injuries.
Boote was bailed to appear at Bolton Crown Court on Friday, November 8.
