A 50-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted on a bus in Astley Bridge.

On the evening of Friday November 15, the woman was on a bus travelling along Blackburn Road, Bolton, when she was sexually assaulted by a man who was sitting behind her.

The man is white, 32 years old, 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with light brown hair.

He is believed to have got off the bus at the stop outside the Tramways Hotel, Blackburn Road.

PC Nicholas Turner, said: “I want to hear from anyone who has information that can help us identify the person responsible.

“Were you on the bus or did you see someone matching this description get off outside Tramways? If you know this person please call the police.”
