BOLTON boxing sensation Amir Khan, pictured, donned a special apron and joined forces with other sports star to launch this year’s Sport Relief.

The Olympic silver medallist joins gymnast Louis Smith, England rugby player James Haskell and Sky Sports News presenter Kirsty Gallacher.

The aprons have been specially designed by Emma Bridgewater to promote the charity appeal.

They will also be presented to the winning celebrity chef in each of the heats of BBC2’s The Great Sport Relief Bake Off, which is being broadcast this month.

Others who have posed in the aprons are Olympic judo competitor Ashley McKenzie, table tennis player Will Bayley, Dan Whiston from TV’s Dancing On Ice, speed skater Elise Christie, boxer Natasha Jonas and Channel 4 racing presenter Emma Spencer.

The aprons will be available from HomeSense and TK Maxx, as well as from sportrelief.com, with at least half of the £12.99 price going to the charity.
