THE Taste star Debbie Halls-Evans, pictured, is celebrating after winning ‘Best Dish’ on the Channel 4 cookery programme.
The 43-year-old from Horwich, who is on Ludo Lefebvre’s team, won the accolade after impressing the mentors, including Nigella Lawson and Anthony Bourdain, with her sticky toffee pudding pie recipe.
Nigella called it a “quite brilliant innovation.. a bold innovative take on a classic.”
Mrs Halls-Evans revealed that the dish is a family favourite.
Earlier in the show the cooks had to present their take on a classic prawn cocktail to the judges, including guest chef, Richard Corrigan.
The contestants are battling it out each week to stay in the competition by making their best dishes served on a spoon.
Episode three is on Channel 4 on Tuesday, January 21 at 9pm.
