AN award-winning firm is putting 41 members of staff at risk of redundancy in a department restructuring.
Keoghs solicitors, who investigate rings of insurance fraudsters, is making changes to its counter fraud services division.
Most of the jobs would be at the firm’s Coventry office, but Keogh’s would not say if any Bolton-based staff would be be affected.
“Fee-earning” and “support” personnel are included in the redundancies, according to the firm.
Keoghs described the redundancies as “regrettable”.
The firm said the market’s requirements for insurance fraud have changed following reforms to personal injury claims in the early part of last year, which explains their restructuring.
A spokesman said: “The restructure we are undertaking within our CFS division will give us the agility needed to respond cost effectively and continue to thrive in a rapidly changing market.”
Keoghs is consolidating its North West operations and will continue to service non-fraud work in the Coventry office.
The firm is simultaneuously recruiting 51 new staff members across the business, with their 248-strong counter fraud department making them the largest provider of those services in the UK.
