YOUNG people marked Safer Internet Day by educating their parents.
Kearsley Academy’s Student Council created colourful leaflets, featuring important safety messages, for parents to pass on to their children, while encouraging them to use new technology in a positive way.
Pupil Jacob Brooks, aged 12, said: “We wanted to give parents information about the school, and the technology we are using.
“Parents can be quite worried about the dangers, but we wanted to show them the safety messages, and how the positives outweigh the negatives.
Director of new technologies at Kearsley Academy, Raiharvinder Singh, said: “This leaflet demonstrates the awareness of e-safety among pupils at Kearsley Academy.”
