A MAN is due to go on trial for the attempted murder a woman in Bolton last year.
Martin Cullen, aged 47, of no fixed address, appeared at Manchester Crown Court via video link from Forest Bank Prison today.
He is accused of attempting to kill Doreen Winstanley by stabbing her at her home on November 16 last year.
No plea was entered and the case was adjourned for a further hearing on March 31.
Cullen was remanded in custody until then and a trial date has been scheduled to start on May 12.
