Jury given more time in soldier inquest

A JURY in the inquest of Fusilier James Wilkinson will reconvene on Monday after failing to reach a verdict.

The jury had been expected to deliver their verdict today at Oldham Magistrates Court, however it was indicated that they would need more time to reach a conclusion.

Fusilier Wilkinson, from Whitefield, was shot dead in a mock battle, while serving in the 2nd Battalion in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in Kenya, on November 26, 2011.
