CHILDREN at SS Osmund and Andrew RC Primary School cooked up a money making idea to support a charity close to their hearts.
Youngsters at the Breightmet school organised a cake sale to raise funds for Meningitis Now.
The pupils, who raised £62, organised the cake sale and chose the Meningitis Now charity after one of their friends contracted the illness.
Headteacher, John Thorpe, said: “We had a pupil who had meningitis and is now free of the disease.
"It's good to see children helping children as this is a very encouraging sign for the future.”
