TALENTED youngsters from across Bolton will grace the stage for a song and dance extravaganza to celebrate the past 25 years.

Singers, actors, dancers and performers from The Theatre Dance Studios, which opened in 1989, will appear in TDS will Rock You.

With dance and music from popular shows and films, including Disney favourites, the extravaganza will be at the Bolton Albert Halls tomorrow and Thursday.

A showcase of local talent, it will also feature Westhoughton singer Joe Keegan, recently seen on The Voice UK, Emilia Ward, an Open Mic UK 2014 finalist, and The Katanas, who appeared on BBC Radio’s Introducing slot and performed at last year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Sarah Ward, principal of the studios in Rossini Street, Haliwell, said: “The students have worked really hard over the last six months, and the show is promising to our best yet.

“The school is coming up to celebrating its 25th year and we have chosen our favourite performances from the last 25 years to showcase at the Albert Halls, with the support of local artists and also a rock band to finish the show.

“We recently moved to new premises at Halliwell Business Park which has three new studios and everyone is loving their new home so this showcase will be a culmination of a fantastic year.”

The show will star students aged between three and 25 from the venue, which was forced to move following the sale of the Theatre Church, Astley Bridge, to private investors in 2012.

The Katanas will perform with musical theatre students whom they have been training with for the past year.

The shows start at 7pm and tickets cost £10, call the Albert Halls box office on 01204 334400.
