MOSS Bank Way was shut for more than three hours after two cars crashed into railings this morning.
A woman was taken to hospital with a neck injury after the crash at about 9.20am.
The road is shut between the junction of Captains Clough Road and Chorley Old Road while police clear up the debris.
The two cars involved were a red Peugeot 309 and a red Kia Picanto.
Police say one of the cars crashed into the railings at the side of the road but neither of the two female drivers were seriously hurt.
The road was re-opened at about 11.30am.
