SUPPORTERS of the BNP held a demonstration in Victoria Square on Saturday against the approved plans for a new mosque in Farnworth.

Members of the far right nationalist party handed out leaflets and spoke to shoppers as they held a banner protesting the number of mosques in Bolton.

Earlier this month the planning committee at Bolton Council approved plans to knock down the existing Sugrha Mosque in Granville Street and build a new one in its place.
