Elderly man taken to hospital with leg injury in car smash
AN elderly man has been taken to hospital after suffering a leg injury in a car crash in Deane.
The man was injured when a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Focus crashed near Wigan Road at about 4pm.
Police said the injured man, in his nineties, was in one of the cars.
The accident caused the road to be partially blocked causing delays for motorists.
