A FUN day fundraiser is being held in memory of tragic teenager Aleysha Rothwell this weekend.
Organiser Mark Price has set up the event to be held on Sunday at Aleysha’s former school, Bolton St Catherine’s Academy in Stitch-Mi-Lane from 2pm until 6pm.
The event will iinclude a large fun fair, a lads and dads football match, a mums and daughters rounders game as well as face painting, stalls and more. The aim is to raise enough money to pay for a headstone for 16-year-old Aleysha who was found hanged at her Breightmet home in April.
This month hundreds flocked to Bolton town centre to campaign about more mental health support for teenagers.
Posters highlighting depression, anxiety and self harm were be displayed in Victoria Square alongside scores of banners.
