SPORTING youngsters kept their school’s strong cross country record alive when they won the Boys Small Schools team award from Bolton Cross Country League.

The league is one of the biggest in the country and Ian Southern, headteacher of St Saviour’s CE Primary School, in Ringley, said: “We are delighted the team has done so well this year as we are a small school.”
