A CONGREGATION at a Westhoughton church planted a special cross in a ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of World War One.
Poppy seeds were planted around the cross outside the Westhoughton United Reformed Church in Park Road.
Revered Sally Martin, who took that day’s morning service, was joined by members of the junior church afterwards to plant the seeds.
