BURGLARS ransacked a hair salon and stole almost £30,000 of hair extensions.
Raiders targeted Capelli Remi, a hair and piercing salon in Deansgate, Bolton town centre, also known as Beauty Spot, after the shop closed on Tuesday.
They forced their way in through a back door and stole hundreds of packs of the salon’s most popular length of Capelli Remi hair extensions from the store room.
Devastated owner, Daniel Kynaston, aged 36, said the theft had left him “absolutely gutted”.
“This is a big kick in the teeth to the business.
“I will have to get through it. The hair extensions are not sold anywhere else other than in my stores. They are the shop’s own brand.
“The loss is nearly £30,000. They have taken the most expensive extensions in the most popular lengths and left the rest.”
Twenty-five colours of the hair extensions, which were in 18 inch and 20 inch lengths, were stolen.
The Capelli Remi hair extensions are made from real human hair.
Bellisima Royale hair extensions were also taken, which are in a clear packet with a pink band around the top.
It is a double blow, as £1 from the sale of every pack of Capelli Remi goes to children’s charities — and at the end of the year of the year Mr Kynaston doubles the amount raised.

Mr Kynaston, who lives in Bacup, Lancashire, said shorter lengths of hair extensions were untouched.
A £10 note was also stolen from the till and an empty safe was taken.
Mr Kynaston was not insured, but refuses to be defeated.
His other stores in Preston and Chorley are covered by insurance.
Mr Kynaston said: “I have four staff working at the store. I can’t let them down - I will not do that to them so I am going to have to cut back on everything else.”
He has urged people to call police if they are offered the hair extensions, which are in distinctive black and gold packaging.
Staff will not be able to operate as normal for several days — but they have not cancelled appointments.
Police are investigating and, as yet, no arrests have been made.
