TWO men charged with causing the deaths of two young people by dangerous driving have appeared in court.
Carl David Wood, aged 27, of St James Street, Farnworth, and Steven Ward, aged 25, of South Avenue, Swinton, both appeared at Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday via video link charged two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
The charges relate to a crash on June 22 on the East Lancashire Road.
Bolton-born Aaron Jones, aged 19, and his girlfriend, Amy Hobson, 21-year-old mother-of-one, were killed.
Their funeral is due to take place in Agecroft, Salford, today.
The case was adjourned at Manchester Crown Court. The defendants will enter a plea at the court on September 1.
