A MAN was stabbed after a gang of masked men stormed into a pub carrying machetes and bats.
The drama unfolded at the Victoria Hotel in Ainsworth Road at 8.30pm yesterday.
Police said the gang of up to 12 men went into the pub and attacked a 23-year-old man, who suffered several knife wounds.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses.
Detective Inspector Carol Hobson, of Bury Police, said: "It appears that up to 12 masked men went into the pub and launched a targeted attack on one individual.
"I would urge anyone who saw the disturbance who has not yet spoken to us to contact police.
"Alternatively if you have any information about who may have been involved I would ask that you call us."
