YOUNG bookworms teamed up with football author Tom Palmer.
The writer of Football Academy, Foul Play and The Squad dropped by Tonge Moor Primary School to lead a special literacy event, during which he read to the children.
Headteacher Anne Read said: “The New National Curriculum has enjoyment of reading at the heart of it. That’s no problem for children at Tonge Moor, we love books and our library.
“Tom Palmer, children’s author of football and crime books, led our latest special event organised by Kath Morgan, the school’s librarian.”
