THE following people have appeared in court in Bolton in the last few days.

Farnworth man showed sex picture to 14-year-old

A FARNWORTH man has admitted inciting a 14-year-old child to look at an image of people engaging in sexual activity.

Stephen Thomson, aged 57, of Lower Rawson Street, admitted two charges at Bolton Magistrates' Court on April 21.

The offences took place in Bolton between August 19 and September 7 last year.

Thomson is to be sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on May 29 and is bailed until then.

Woman kicked another woman in the head

A HEATON woman has been spared jail despite admitting an assault in which she kicked her victim in the head.

Mary Stokes received a four-month prison sentence, suspended for a year, for the attack on another woman in Bolton on March 9.

Stokes, aged 26, of Park Road, had admitted the attack on March 24 and was sentenced on April 17.

She was also ordered to pay £265 in court costs and will be under curfew for four months.

Man attacked woman and police officer

A GREAT Lever man must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work for an assault on a woman and a police officer.

Andrew Wallace, aged 50, assaulted the woman and PC on March 19, charges he admitted the next day.

Wallace, of Normanby Street, was given a 12-month community order at Bolton Magistrates Court on April 17 and ordered to pay £145 in costs.

Horwich man had amphetamine and cannabis

A HORWICH man must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work after admitting to the possession of amphetamine and cannabis.

Stewart Lasley, aged 32, of Cedar Avenue, was caught with the drugs on January 6.

He admitted both charges at Bolton Magistrates Court on April 21, and was sentenced to a 12-month community order.

Farnworth woman stole chocolate from Lidl

A FARNWORTH woman has been fined £70 for stealing chocolate from Lidl. 

Yvonne Knox, of Danebridge Close, admitted the theft at Bolton Magistrates' Court on April 21.
The 24-year-old stole £9 of chocolate from the Bolton store.

Magistrates also ordered Knox to pay £55 in costs.
