A MAN has denied murdering a Bolton grandfather whose body was found in a reservoir.
Candido Pereira, of Chorley New Road, Bolton, pleaded not guilty at Manchester Crown Court yesterday, July 21, to murdering Darren McMinn.
Mr McMinn’s body was discovered in the Yarrow Reservoir in Hodge Brow, near Rivington, on May 3.
The 48-year-old was last seen on April 11 and his disappearance sparked a missing person inquiry.
Pereira, dressed in a striped red and blue polo shirt, pleaded guilty to supplying diamorphine and producing cannabis.
The murder trial is due to start on October 17 and Pereira was remanded in custody until then.
