DOCTOR (DOC) HOLDEN Passed away on the 19th February 2017 in the Royal Bolton Hospital aged 61 years. Beloved son of the late Doctor and Dorothy Holden, wonderful brother of Diane, brother in law of Andrew, loving nephew, cousin, god father, best friend and many good things to many people. Doc will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Service and committal to take place on Friday 3rd March at 3.30pm, East Lancashire Crematorium, Cemetery Road, Radcliffe, M26 4EU. Reception at Lostock Tennis Club. Family flowers only please. Donations gratefully received for Bleakholt (Animal Sanctuary) either by gift aided cheque or the Justgiving website. I was privileged to have been a housemate and friend to Doc at University in Hull during the seventies. An intelligent man of wit and infinite jest and a thoroughly decent human being, I have many fond memories of Doc during that period and I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. The world is a poorer place without him. Rest in peace my friend.
