TREVONIOUS image
Spider Fingers Stew -- a great accomplished guitar player. One of the original claw hammer officialdoms. Played at Bolton Folk Club in the 60's. Played in Jacquard and Catchpenny and Colluney Stew. Stew was a good humoured instrumentalist who could accompany any style of playing. Mike Chapman once took him under his wing; He was the influential in bringing the Folk/Blues to an otherwise traditional folk scene. He could be fiercely difficult but was a musician who played from the heart. I know he will be best remembered for his quirky humour and unique style. Rest in Peace old friend
Trevor Colluney former band mate.
