SAMUEL MERCER Peacefully in hospital on 18th May 2017 SAMUEL (SAM) aged 75 years, dearly loved husband of the late PATRICIA and loving partner of the late PHYLLIS, a much loved and missed dad of David, Susan, Peter, Barbara and the late GARY, a dear father in law, devoted granddad and great granddad, a dear brother, brother in law, uncle and good friend to many. Cortege to leave Birtwistle's Funeral Home on Wednesday 7th June at 9.00 a.m. via Farnworth for service in St Thomas's Church, Halliwell at 10.00 a.m. prior to committal at Overdale, West Chapel at 11.00 a.m. Either flowers or cheque donations if preferred payable to Cancer Research UK.
