GORDON WHITWORTH Retired headmaster, Harwood Meadows Primary School, Bolton. Suddenly at home on 23.11.17. Loving, steadfast husband of Marjory (deceased), cherished father of Julian and John, and grandpa of Jamie, Sally, Joe, Ellie and Jessica. Funeral service at St Peters, Halliwell, Friday 15th December at 12.30, followed by a brief act of committal at 13.30, Overdale Crematorium, West Chapel. Mr. Whitworth was my headmaster at Harwood Meadows when I was a little lad and we all adored this gentle, cheerful, learned man. Very sorry to learn of his passing.
