GEORGE JOSEPH THORNLEY On December 28, 2017, peacefully at his home in Westhoughton after a long illness, George aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Edith, loving dad of Derek and Geoff, father-in-law to Diane and a devoted grandad and great-grandad. Also a dear brother of the late John and a good friend to many. Requiem mass will be offered in the Sacred Heart RC Church, Westhoughton on Monday January 8 at 11.00am followed by interment in Westhoughton Cemetery. Floral tributes accepted or donations if desired for 'British Heart Foundation', cheques only please payable to the charity.
