MARIAN JUNCK (née Bryce) Born November 18

MARIAN JUNCK (née Bryce) Born November 18, 1936 in Bolton, Lancashire, England. Passed away May 14, 2018, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Although she never stood at the front of a classroom, our mother, Marian, was a great teacher in so many other ways. Perhaps it was because she loved school so much, but we each learned many things from her. Her children: Sandra Walker (Joe) of Kingsville, Ontario, Canada, says, "I learned to be tolerant and strong, and to appreciate nature and the arts each and every day." Wendy Fairweather of Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada, says, "Mum taught me to think of others before myself, and to be totally accepting and forgiving." Linda Connell of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, says, "She taught me joy in living, unconditional love, the importance of a positive outlook, acceptance, and forgiveness". Todd Junck (Michael) of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, says, "I learned from my mother that life is a gift to be treasured; even the seemingly small things that ultimately mean so much." Her best friend for 65 years and sister-in-law for 59 of those years, Norma Young, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, tells us, "Marian taught me to be compassionate and to always have a positive outlook on life." Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Marian on May 14, after a sudden, brief illness. She joins in spirit her husband Cliff Junck, parents Fred and Jane Bryce, brother Frank Bryce, sisters Hilda Markow and Joan Andow. Grandchildren mourning the loss of their Nana: Brianne, Dayna (Tyler), Callum, Aidan, Fawn, Dray, and great-grandchild Brady. We would like to thank the nursing staff of the Grey Nuns Hospital in Unit 54 for their exemplary care and compassion given to Marian. We honoured the "teacher" who was our mother, at a celebration of her life on Monday, May 21, 2018, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Cremation has taken place. Marian absolutely loved flowers of all kinds. However, if you'd prefer, donations to a Heart & Stroke Foundation would be very much appreciated.
