Action needed on water

MY letter, published on July 2, refers to the condition of Kearsley Railway Station - prior to the flood.

I would draw attention to the surface water running from Station Road, down the station steps and into Stoneclough Road. Since then, I observed and advised Bolton Council about the opposite side of Stoneclough Road/Quarry Road on which a full road-wide drain has been fitted at the junction with Green Lane to stop the normal constant supply of water from this area running into Stoneclough Road. The water runs over the top of the grids and ends up in Stoneclough Road. Every drop helps if you want to have a flood at the bottom.

What has been done? Nothing.

If people's lives and homes are affected I consider it a matter of urgency. Action not next week - but now.
