CHORLEY was well represented when the Lord Mayor of London hosted a luncheon to honour major achievers of the century.

Guests included the Chief Constable of Lancashire, Pauline Clare, and former England rugby union team captain Bill Beaumont.

The event, at the Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor, Lord Levene of Portsoken, was attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. GREETINGS: Pauline Clare and Bill Beaumont at the luncheon.
