NON-LEAGUE SOCCER: RMI bid to stay on top

LEIGH RMI will line up against Colwyn Bay at Hilton Park tomorrow knowing if they still have the top spot in the Unibond League.

The Railwaymen kick off at 12 noon but rivals Hyde or Emley, have home games tonight.

It could be RMI's last league game for three weeks, with cup ties and a blank date because of Stalybridge's FA Cup involvement coming up.

Manager Steve Waywell will find it difficult to make any changes from the side that did so well to take all three points at Droylsden on Tuesday.

But he may take the opportunity to rest Dave Ridings, who was outstanding in mid week scoring a goal and making another, despite not being 100pc fit.

Riding could swap places with Brian Butler, who was a sub on Tuesday, and Ian Monk did some light training last night so he could figure as well.

If Monk makes it, Waywell could revert to three central defenders, but either way, one defeat in 16 games, speaks for itself with confidence sky-high at Hilton Park.
