SAM Allardyce is still running the rule over goalkeeping prospects, despite already having four on his books.

The Wanderers' boss, who last week added the Finland international Jani Viander to his squad on a three-month loan from HJK Helsinki, has taken Sweedish keeper Ola Tidamen on trial from the Belgium club La Louviere.

Jussi Jaaskelainen, who won his battle to overcome a back injury, proved his fitness with a crucial save in Sunday's 2-1 win at Ipswich where the veteran Kevin Poole was on the subs' bench.

But Steve Banks, who made his Premiership debut at Aston Villa last month, is currently sidelined with a thigh strain.
