Warhurst ban: He'll miss Spurs clash

PAUL Warhurst will miss Wanderers' Sky TV game at Spurs on December 3 after picking up his fifth booking in the win at Ipswich.

The resulting one match ban could have been worse had referee Steve Bennett not taken a lenient view of Warhurst's kick at Peralta late in the game.

Having escaped a second booking and a red card, Warhurst was substituted shortly afterwards, manager Sam Allardyce confirming he had withdrawn the player to protect him from further punishment.
