Security guard hit with gun

A SECURITY guard was struck with a sawn off shotgun as he made a delivery to a Miles Platting post office yesterday afternoon.

The 43-year-old guard had just got out of the his van on Broadhaven Road when two men approached him and grabbed the case he was carrying which contained a "substantial" amount of cash.

The guard was knocked to the ground but not badly hurt.
