Top award for first year pub couple

THE licensees of a Ringley pub are celebrating their first "birthday" in style. Stuart Price and Pat Atkins have just completed 12 months at the Lord Nelson and have also landed a top award from Thwaites brewery.

The pair picked up the Manager of the Year award at a ceremony at Burnley football club's Turf Moor ground. "We've had a great first year," said Stuart who took over last December after a £750,000 refurbishment.
