Help boost for up to 9,000 carers

CARERS in Bury are being urged to check whether they are eligible for extra help from the council.

Changes earlier this year mean councils can now provide services or payments based on the needs of carers. Up to 9,000 people in the borough may be entitled to the help. Bury North MP David Chaytor says anyone who thinks they may benefit to contact the Carers UK hotline on 020 7566 7610.
