Jet flies back after fire

A CARGO plane flying to Paris from Manchester was forced to return last night when an engine caught fire.

The pilot and co-pilot put out the fire when the Short's jet developed a fuel leak shortly after take-off at 10pm. The plane returned to Manchester where an emergency crew was standing by. No one was injured.
