A PENSIONER died 10 days after he was involved in an accident with a car, an inquest heard.
William Heyworth, aged 81, died in hospital as a result of pneumonia and organ failure. Mr Heyworth of Thorns Avenue, Bolton, was involved in a collision with a car as he crossed Blackburn Road.
The car driver John Garside, who witnesses said was travelling within the speed limit, will appear before Bolton magistrates charged with driving with undue care and attention. Mr Heyworth was in good health at the time, but had lost the sight in his left eye. Verdict: Accidental death.
