Cubs help to clear garden

A CUB scout group rolled helped to clear rubbish from a communal gardens in Bolton.

Leaders Steve Burke and Debbie Barker and cubs from the 35th St Maxentius A Pack, Bradshaw, joined Firwood and Moorfield Residents Association to clean up Furness Square Communal Gardens, Tonge Moor.

The cubs filled six sacks of rubbish that had been dumped on the gardens and the boundary with Tonge Moor Road. At the end of the day the cubs had a badge presentation evening for completing their Ordnance Survey Map Readers and Explorers badges during a recent adventure day at Entwistle Reservoir.
