Masked raiders steal restaurant takings

FOUR masked robbers carrying screwdrivers stole £500 in cash from a Bury restaurant last night. The gang -- all white men wearing balaclavas -- burst into Frankie and Bennies Restaurant on the Pilsworth Industrial Estate through a side door at around 11pm last night.

A member of staff was struck twice on the head with a car Crooklock as the gang demanded safe keys. They escaped in a stolen silver BMW coupe. The member of staff attacked was left shocked but unhurt.
