Woman, 91, in road tragedy

A 91-YEAR-OLD woman has died in hospital after a road accident.

The pensioner was crossing Warrington Road near its junction with Hope Carr Road, Leigh, on Thursday afternoon when she was involved in a collision with a car driven by a 31-year-old woman from Wigan.

The woman has not been identified.
