School walk raises £1,300 for charity

A SCHOOL has raised £1,300 for breast cancer research through a three mile run.

Pupils, staff, governors, parents and friends of Brandwood Primary School, Daubhill, all took part in a three mile walk around Willows Park to raise vital funds.

It is the most the school has raised through a fund-raising event.

Headteacher Rosemary Jones said they had chosen to support the charity because so many people had connections with people who suffered from breast cancer.

Mrs Jones said: "We would just like to say thank you to everyone who took part."
