Accident witness appeal

POLICE are launching a fresh appeal following a serious road accident which has left a 17-year-old girl in a critical condition.

The teenager, from Hindley, suffered serious injuries after being hit by a Toyota Previa in Poolstock Lane, Worsley Mesnes, shortly before 8pm on Wednesday February 23.

Officers want to speak to a driver and passengers of a silver family car that drove past the scene.

PC Steve Culshaw has stressed the people in the silver car are not in any trouble with the police

He said: "I am appealing for the people in the silver car to contact me. They may not think they have any information to offer but I just want to speak to them to clarify the chain of events prior to the collision."
