Service keeps people mobile

MY friends and I are extremely sorry to hear that the proposed redevelopment in Moor Lane will mean that Bolton Community Transport and Furniture Services will be left without premises.

They are a registered charity and the transport enables different groups of people to enjoy a day out, especially those of us who are not as mobile as we used to be. Also, I am sure the furniture services have been a godsend to townspeople who are not as financially well placed as Councillors and MPs.

Bolton now has the monstrous building on Deansgate/St George's Road which will provide flats for people, there are flats in Great Moor Street, so how many more are they planning on building?

Bolton Community Transport and Furniture Services should be given every consideration and be helped, financially and practically to enable them to find new premises and carry on with their good work.
