Adlington on way up

Adlington dropped six catches but were still able to beat Lostock by five wickets, a win that moved them three places up the Bolton Association table.

Lostock opened with 187-9, James Creggan 37, Phil Hall 35 and Danny Cockton 30, but Adlington's reply was 191-5, Mike Rawlings leading the way with 69, Chris Mulligan 41. Chris Cockton took 3-18 for Lostock.

Standish were also comfortable 73-run winners over Edgworth after hitting

212-9 before bowling out the visitors for 139.

Captain Steve Knowles top scored with 84 despite Nigel Barlow's impressive bowling performance of 6-70.
