Well done police

For years, the general trend in Barnet has been for a small increase in the number of reported crimes each year. So the news that overall crime has reduced by 15 per cent is nothing short of extraordinary - especially when you consider this is pretty much across the board, in nearly every area of crime.

Two of the most everyday crimes that we arguably fear most, muggings and burglaries, have been reduced by 24 per cent and 18 per cent respectively. This truly means that we should feel safer in our homes and on our streets. Congratulations to borough commander Chief Superintendent Stephen Kavanagh and his officers for doing such a grand job.
