A WEEK of sporting fun is being lined up by the Bolton Lads and Girls club for the school half term holidays.
Between Tuesday, May 27, and Friday, May 30, youngsters aged eight to 15 are being invited to drop in at the Club's Spa Road base to try their hand at a variety of activities.
Those who drop in will get the chance to shoot hoops on the basketball court, score goals on the football pitch, burn some energy trampolining, pump iron in the gym or tee off for some tri-golf.
Other activities include cricket, dodgeball, orienteering, badminton, unihoc and a mini Olympics Rachel Burke, senior sports leader at the club, said: "It's really important that young people stay active and use their free time to let off some steam rather than becoming lazy, which can have a negative effect on their mood and behaviour.
"The range of activities we're offering here at Bolton Lads and Girls Club will appeal to everyone as it's so diverse - we want to give all young people in Bolton the chance to have fun, get some exercise and make the most of their school holidays."
Half day sessions run between 9am and 12.30pm and in the afternoon until 4pm. They cost from £5. For more information contact Aniela Rodzoch on 01204 540100.
