BOLTON-BASED Financial Consultant, David Heaton of Chancellor Financial Management has recently been awarded Chartered Financial Planner status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

There are currently only 5,000 UK members with this accreditation, who are widely recognised as having achieved the gold standard for the financial advisory profession. In order to attain Chartered Status, a candidate must demonstrate a high level of achievement and competence, as well as a combination of qualifications and experience.

The award is testament to David’s depth of understanding and 37 year commitment to the financial planning industry. It also gives clients and professional partners the confidence that his technical knowledge has been rigorously tested by examination

David, who is 55 and lives in Worsley, has worked in Bolton since 1987, apart from a few years in Stockport. He is married and has two daughters. The presentation of the award in London coincided with his 22nd wedding anniversary

Chancellor was established in 2006 and its tenth year sees it going from strength to strength. The firm is continuously investing in its systems and its people. It has gained the prestigious Corporate Chartered Financial Planners designation in 2012 and is one of a small proportion of Financial Planning firms to demonstrate the endeavour and commitment necessary to qualify for Chartered status.

Grant Farnell, director at Chancellor, said: “We are very proud of David, Chartered status is only achieved by the most competent and experienced professionals, meaning clients can be sure that they are receiving a high level of service.”
