A MANCHESTER-based security firm says Bolton was the obvious location for its second office after covering several events in the town.

ExcluSec, which offers a range of security based services including stewarding or car parking supervision, has opened a new office in Chorley New Road.

Bosses say it was an easy decision to expand into Bolton because the firm has previously worked at high profile events such as Bolton Hospice’s Midnight Memories Walk, Horwich Festival of Racing, Race For Life, Bolton Food and Drink Festival, Skyride, Bolton Pride and Bolton Winter Festival.

The events industry is thriving for the Trafford Park based company, and it also holds a number of manned guarding, keyholding and mobile patrol contracts in Bolton.

Three members of the firm's non-operational staff will be based at the office, with recently appointed business development manager Jason Roughley and vetting and screening officer quality Katie O’Meara joining quality and compliance director Michelle Khan at the new site.

She said: "We’re looking forward to setting up in the new space this week as it’ll give our compliance and sales team more time to focus on providing the best levels of service to our staff and potential new customers."

The company’s expansion has been driven by the securing of contracts with local businesses and charities, all of whom have a need for some form of security, stewarding or car parking service.

Being established six years ago, the firm has gained accreditations with the Security Industry Authority, National Security Inspectorate and Investors In People and is continually gaining new custom.

James Bancroft, founder and managing director of ExcluSec, said: "We’ve focused on building excellent relationships with our clients, and our client base has grown from word of mouth and our nationally recognised innovative attitudes.

"It feels right to situate our additional premises in the area where both existing and new clients are supporting us."
