WORK is now complete on a £333,000 refurbishment of the White Horse Pub in Harwood.

The White Horse has been completely renovated to improve facilities for customers. The pub officially relaunched on May 11 creating five new jobs.

Owners Punch Taverns say the pub retains its traditional charm and features including stained glass windows and fireplace depicting images and carvings from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales.

The White Horse also has a new face behind the bar. Experienced publican, Antonia Siddle is looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Antonia said: “It’s been very exciting watching the changes being made. Punch have come up with a great new interior design scheme which includes replacing everything from flooring, furniture, fixtures and fittings – everything is new making the pub much fresher and brighter.”

Prior to the refurbishment, the White Horse served a limited range of food but customers can now look forward to a bigger menu from the new kitchen.

Food is served from midday-8pm, seven days a week with plenty of pub classics and pizzas to choose from and not forgetting tasty Sunday lunches.

Throughout the week, regular entertainment includes; pool on Mondays and Thursdays, darts on Tuesdays, quizzes on Wednesdays and karaoke or live music on Saturdays.

Sky and BT Sports will also be showing all the latest live coverage and Antonia promises to organise plenty of fundraising events for local charities.

Samantha Ward, Punch openings manager, said: “The White Horse has all the ingredients to make the perfect community pub.

"It’s family friendly with plenty of outdoor space which has also been given a makeover with new furniture, pergola and planters.

" Inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the improved food offer has something for everyone.”
